Finding yourself after motherhood
Tuesday Oct 01, 2019
Tuesday Oct 01, 2019
Hello my beautiful people!! Today I bring you Meggie Martin who is the founder of The Momma Tribe and just a beautiful human. She has three children and a fourth on the way, I keep looking at her and thinking “How the heck do you do it all?” and she does it with such grace, and acknowledging that every day is not easy. So she walks me through her days and how she figures out her days and how she parents, and then we really dig into the conversation around “Why is motherhood so complex?” and “Why do we isolate ourselves?” and we talk about the self care and what are the themes and issues she sees arise as a common theme among new moms. Using stories from The Momma Tribe she gives us specific examples of the things that we can do, the steps we can take to really work on our marriage, work on ourselves, and why that’s really important. So this conversation is for every single mama out there that’s just struggling that just wants to hide herself in the bathroom for five minutes because needs some time off.

I'm really excited about the conversation that I had today and the value for you if you are in the business of growing your influence whether its for your own business or your own company or whether it is just to build your personal brand. Brendan Kane is the author of the book One Million Followers and he is a growth hacker for fortune 500 corporations, brands, and celebrities. You may have heard that he advised Rihanna and Taylor Swift and worked on their social media visibility, and has also worked with Katy Couric in helping her really figure out her TV strategy and social media reach. He is so focused on helping brands find and engage new audiences and create very useful and relevant content. So he came up with this idea of “Ok I can help Taylor Swift reach millions, but she’s a celebrity. How do I, Brendan Kane, that know one knows, how do I build something like that?” So he started in Facebook using all of the methodologies that he’s been teaching everyone else and he grew to a following of one million people on Facebook in thirty days. That was absolutely incredible. His book One Million Followers outlines the actual process that is so easy for all of us to use, if we wanted to put in the work. I had the privilege of working with Brendan in his VIP Mastermind, and learning firsthand from him, and I have seen an exponential growth in my social media presence and also how I was showing up. How it’s not just about looking for me me me and hacking the algorithm it’s about providing valuable content and creating an engagement and communication with your audience. We talk about everything about his book and about the actual tips and strategies. He goes into actual detail that if you just listen to this interview and you implement the things that Brendan talks about in today’s episode, you will see incredible success for yourself as well. Without further ado, here is Brendan Kane.

Tuesday Aug 27, 2019
Hello my beautiful people and welcome to Uplevel Together I hope you are having the most wonderful day wherever it is that you are. Oh my goodness, today's podcast interview with Amy Ledin had my thinking in a way in which I have never thought before, gave me goosebumps all over my body, and has created such a profound effect on me. Amy Ledin is a very sought after coach and incredible speaker and she is starting to host workshops and retreats, but she is one of the most fantastic mindset coaches that I have ever met. The woman is absolutely brilliant, and she is also a very dear friend. We’d only met a few months ago and it was this instant connection and friends for life. She has had one heck of a life, we talk about her story from living with cancer, stage-four cancer for over six years. When you hear her story and understand what she did despite the fact that she had to go through something so intense, you will be floored and it will make you get up and do something about your life. Just that. But she is also the most disciplined human that I know on planet earth. This is the woman who gets up at four am every single morning to go for a walk because she said that she will honor her word to change her life. She has gone from being an overweight mom to becoming one of the fittest people that I know, one of the healthiest, most positive, and most inspiring people today. So you’re looking at a woman who is a mother of five, who owns two businesses, a multimillionaire, an incredible mindset coach, and just an incredible human being. This conversation will change your life. Put the dishes away, put the kids away, take out a notebook, and get ready to start writing, because this will be incredibly useful for all of you. Here is Amy Ledin. So you’re looking at a woman who is a mother of five, who owns two businesses, a multimillionaire, an incredible mindset coach, and just an incredible human being. Oh man, are you going to love this interview today. I got a chance to sit down with Leslie Pitt Schneider: lawyer, former executive, writer, lover of life and founder of Project Lolo. I met Leslie years ago as she was embarking on the journey of starting her own non-profit and leaving her corporate job. She talks about the toxicity of her job, how it started to affect her self worth and health and how none of it was worth it. Leslie tells us her story about losing her limb at age of 6 and having to live with a prosthetic – which is now a major inspiration for Project Lolo, which helps children who need orthopedic care or assistive mobility devices because of congenital deformities, illness or injuries. We also talk about using the word special abilities and not disabilities and her new book that is meant to inspire children to own their uniqueness. I love this woman and I love her work. This interview is great for anyone who wants to feel inspired that their dream matters and learn how to go after it.
